My friend Steve sent me this blog – it has lots of fantastic, sugar free recipes: http://www.greenkitchenstories.com/.
Most of the sugar and wheat free cake recipes that I’ve tried before have been fairly disastrous, especially those in any of the endometriosis or candida diet books, so I am looking forward to experimenting with these recipes. Steve has tried the carrot cake recipe and said it was nice, so fingers crossed.
This website also has got some good recipes for those with problem diets: http://www.elanaspantry.com/ – some of the ingredients are a little hard to come by in the UK though, so you might have to work a little bit harder to source them.
This is an amazing discovery that actually tastes like proper ice cream: http://www.boojabooja.com/e_news.htm – I got a tub of it in the Stoke Newington Fresh and Wild and it was lovely. Have also seen it in loads of other independent health food shops around the country, but not in Portsmouth or the Isle of Wight – bummer!
So glad that people are working hard to make life a little ’sweeter’ for those of us who can’t get stuck into ‘normal’ cakes and pies!
